Understand credits and generation estimates

Learn what estimated, reserved, charged, and released credits mean during a generation.

Updated

The quote shown before generation depends on the selected tool, model, settings, and relevant inputs. Review it again after changing duration, resolution, or references.

How a normal generation uses credits

  1. Before submission, the site calculates an estimate from the current inputs.
  2. When a paid job is accepted, credits are reserved while it is active. Those credits are not available for another job.
  3. When the job completes successfully, the reservation is settled as the job's charge.
  4. If the job fails or is cancelled, its reserved credits are released according to the job's settlement state.

Check your history

Open Settings, then Usage, to view Credit History. Compare the relevant entries with the job status rather than treating every reservation and charge row as a separate purchase.

  • Narration, analysis, storyboards, and media generation can be separate quoted actions.
  • A zero-credit action may still create a job without a credit transaction.
  • A completed result that you dislike is not the same as a failed generation; another attempt can cost credits.

Prices and available tools can change. Use the current in-product quote instead of a fixed cost from a tutorial.
