Creating images
Edit an image with annotations and references
Use a clean original, an annotated guide, and a focused edit instruction to change part of an image.
Updated
Edit Image uses your original image together with an annotation guide. The guide tells the AI where a change belongs; it is not the artwork you want in the finished image.
- Open Create Image, choose Edit Image, and select an available model.
- Select or upload the image you want to edit.
- Use the annotation controls to point out the area to change, then describe the intended edit.
- Add optional supporting images if you need to demonstrate a product, material, color, or visual style.
- Review the available resolution and credit estimate, then generate and compare the result with your original.
Example edit instruction
Replace the marked background with a softly lit modern kitchen. Keep the person, clothing, pose, and camera angle unchanged. Remove the guide markings from the final image.
- Keep annotations clear and limited to the relevant region.
- Say both what should change and what must remain unchanged.
- Explain supporting references instead of assuming the AI knows which part to copy.
AI edits can affect nearby details. Check faces, hands, logos, and text before using the result.
